Lock in the No 1 ICT inhibitor to achievement of the i2010
openforum europe supports the ECIS position and is equally concerned on the impact of lock in to any one proprietary solution vendor, and considers this to be the No 1 ICT inhibitor to achievement of the i2010 and Lisbon Agendas for an open and competitive Europe. As the visit last week of Peter Quinn showed, this is an urgent issue which has to be addressed at all levels. OFE will be making its own announcements shortly including the launch of a practical and effective scheme by which industry and government can work together to avoid lock in and preserve choice for all.
